999670213Friday the 13th

What would your basic numerology predictions have to say about the dreaded Friday the 13th? Do you start spraying your home with Bach Flower Rescue Remedy when Friday the 13th hits the calendar? Or do you just lock the door and go to bed? Alternatively, perhaps you challenge the fates, and pointedly walk under a ladder. Or you argue with everyone in the office, in the bus queue or at home, and when they ask you why, answer with a ghoulish grin on your face, “It is Friday the 13th for goodness sake!” Perhaps numerology predictions could explain to us once and for all why we are so obsessed with Friday the 13th, so much so we even adore watching horror films about it?

Numerology predictions make sure we know that numbers are very important in our lives, but no, Friday the 13th would not have much significance unless it had a special placement in our personal numerology chart. Numerology predictions might also point out that the dreaded “Friday Day” only has power over us if we believe in it.

Did you know that Friday the 13th phobia actually has a name? Hang on to your hats, yes, Friday the 13th phobia is actually called paraskevidekatriaphobia, yes paraskevidekatriaphobia! Those adept at undertaking numerology predictions, would shrug their shoulders at such dotty information and answer that the whole 13th mess goes back to the ancient days of course! Most things do!

Superstition Origins

Author Charles Panati tells us that, The actual origin of the superstition appears also to be a tale of Norse Mythology. Friday is named Frigga, the free-spirited goddess of love and fertility. When the Norse and Germanic tribes converted to Christianity, Frigga was banished in shame to a mountaintop and labelled a witch. It was believed that every Friday, the spiteful goddess convened a meeting with eleven other witches, plus the devil – a gathering of thirteen – and plotted ill turns of fate for the coming week. For many centuries in Scandinavia, Friday was known as the “Witches Sabbath”.

We would tend to be on poor Frigga’s side, after all what did she do that was so wrong, other than being free spirited and fertile? Sounds like a set up to us!

In any event, what does that “13 day” mean to us folks out here, or those of us who were actually born on Friday the 13th for example? Some might be so scared that they decide to ban all their birthday celebrations. Others would repeat that it is a “load of old rubbish”. In fact they would agree with the American Airlines’ survey that announced just as many people fly on Friday the 13th as any other day, so why not just throw a party?!

From other studies taken, especially from Dutch Insurance Agencies, fewer accidents occur on Friday the 13th. Numerology predictions tell us that Friday the 13th could have suddenly morphed into an energetically “good” day. Others argue that people are so scared to go out; they stay home, thus avoiding personal accidents on Friday the 13th. We say we could move Friday the 13th on to Saturday the 13th just for a change!
