Are the “powers that be” preparing us for an alien invasion? Are “statements” issuing forth from organisations like the SETI Institute (SETI stands for Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) but the first glimpses of a preparation phase? Is this the beginning of a new stance which includes feedback on the possibility of life on other planets via the mainstream media fraternity?

Usually we do not get much press feedback about the possibility of life in other “universes”; UFOs are reported indeed, but usually with a “tongue in cheek” attitude by the press. Astronomer Jill Tarter, who is the Director for the Centre for Research at SETI, went public on CNN and told us that “new technology” has enabled non scientists to search for extraterrestrial life. She says when the new SETI web site is developed enough, even under tens will be able to search for ETs and life in outer space! In fact, she insists that the more folks have access to the ET search website, the more possibilities we will have of discovering life in the universe.

Her speech on the search for life in outer space, broadcast by CNN TV recently, started with the question “Are we Alone”. She then continued by saying, “the story of humanity is a story of ideas. Ideas that throw light into dark corners!”

Perspective

“Perspective is a very powerful thing.” she announced “Perspectives can change, perspectives can be altered. From my perspective we live on a fragile island of life in a universe of possibilities.

“Are we really alone in this vast universe of energy, matter, chemistry and physics? If we are it is an awful waste of space. What if we are not? What if out there others are asking similar questions? What if they look at the night sky from the same stars from the opposite side of the universe?

“Might the discovery of an older cultural civilisation “out there” inspire us to find ways to survive our increasingly uncertain technological adolescence?

She also stated in her presentation that “Much more of our vast universe may be more habitable than we once thought. Indeed, life may exist in many other environments”.

Her statement did include the current impossibility of long distance space travel however. Ms Tarter pointed out the massive time lines it would take to move from one universe to another one planet to another. But we wonder why her speech was transmitted at such an interesting time, a time when UFO and ET sightings are increasing ten as we speak?!

Logic and Wonder

One thing is certain. A psychic telephone reading could build a bridge between the logic of science and the wonders of metaphysics. As each year passes, more people are taking a stand for metaphysics. Perhaps the next news will be that metaphysics IS the new science, with proof that we are indeed not alone! And we might even find the tools to travel the massive distances between the Andromeda constellation for example and good old planet earth. In fact, we might discover that the “system” has been using the tools for years.

We can but ponder on this; certainly it is encouraging that SETI is admitting life in outer space is still possible. And certainly it is always interesting to chat to an online telephone empath, to get her stance on the human predicament.
