It is rumoured hot young movie stars like Christina Ricci have personal tarot decks, in fact Christina even put her cards on sale through eBay for a charity drive a while ago. There is a video of Alanis Morrisette reading cards on the Zerner Farber website and the Australian singer Holly Valance getting a taro reading during the Launch of a TV Channel. There was even an episode of “Friends” with “Chandler” playing around with a pack of cards whilst chatting on the phone, as well as a poster of Madonna laying out some Arcane cards. Cameroon Diaz and girlfriend were photographed at a Hollywood psychic parlour, happy to sit in the front of the store for a couple of seconds, that is before they did a quick retreat when they saw they were being filmed. Even Academy Award winning actress Cate Blanchett consulted with a fortune teller for her role in the paranormal chiller, The Gift.

Fraud Claims

Tarot readers are regularly accused of being frauds that rip off the general public. But the sceptics still have not quite understood that a fascination with metaphysical folk runs deep in the very tissue of society. Tarot readers are the folks that listen to you when nobody else will, who tell you not to give up when all seems lost and who “see” that the difficult lover, or bad tempered mother in law will soon be appeased. Taro readers are non judgmental, insightful and compassionate, contrary to psychotherapists they do not analyze your motives, preferring to tune into the inner workings of your soul. Their mission is to describe your unique spiritual journey to self awareness. No wonder taro readers are as popular as sliced bread these days, so popular that the even the highest echelons are consulting them. But we all know “there is naught as strange as folk!” don’t we?
